Privacy policy

Weezz is a UK personal finance app at weezz.co.uk. It is owned by Reece Smith Limited, trading as Weezz. Reece Smith Limited is the data controller.

This page says what we store, why, who sees it, and how you can ask us about it.

What we store

If you create an account, we store:

• your email address and a hashed password (we cannot read your password)
• the money figures you type: assets, liabilities, valuations, planned income and outgoings, named pots, dated spends, and your savings goal
• sign-in session data, so you stay logged in

You type those figures. This version does not connect to your bank.

Our hosts may keep server logs (for example IP address and time of a request) so they can run and secure the service.

Why we store it

We store this so we can run your Weezz account: sign you in, show your numbers, and send account email (confirm address, reset password).

The legal basis is the contract to provide the service you signed up for. Logs are kept so we can keep the service secure.

We do not sell your data

The balances you enter are yours. We do not sell them. We do not share them with lenders, brokers, or advertisers. We do not use them to target ads.

Who processes it

We use other companies to run Weezz. They process data for us; they do not buy it.

Those companies may process data outside the UK. They apply their own transfer safeguards.

Weezz staff can access data only to run the service or to answer a request you send us. Money rows are limited to your account by design.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and money figures while the account is open. If you ask us to delete the account, we delete the login and the money rows we hold for you.

Account emails exist to complete that one action. Server logs follow each host’s own retention.

Cookies

We use a session cookie so we know you are signed in. We do not use advertising cookies. See the cookies page for those cookies, for Vercel Web Analytics, and for Vercel Speed Insights.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• send you a copy of the data we hold about you
• correct data that is wrong
• delete your account and the money rows we hold
• restrict or object to our use of your data, where the law allows
• move your data to you or another service, where the law allows

Email privacy@weezz.co.uk. We will need enough detail to confirm it is your account.

You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk), the UK regulator.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
